OVERVIEW
When it comes to storytelling, the United Kingdom is undoubtedly one of the most preeminent places on earth. It was the birthplace that nurtured many famous writers such as William Shakespeare who is known for his plays namely Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle who penned The Sherlock Holmes, The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien and Harry Potter’s J. K. Rowling.
This tour will be led by renowned Hong Kong-based Journalist and Author, Nury Vittachi, who currently teaches story writing and how to create content for novels and movies at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. With his great sense of wit, Nury will guide the students through a series of interactive workshops on how to create interesting stories, accompany the students to key locations where good stories were constructed, as well as meeting and getting inspired by some of top universities professors, scholars and professional artists.
It will be a truly unforgettable English learning experience where students will explore the English language and culture in a deeper yet humorous way. They will get to understand the importance of storytelling and be inspired to create and write new stories and experience the joy over the entire process.
