OVERVIEW
Almost 50% of Hongkongers use Apple iPhones. Did you know that Steve Jobs' development of Mac products and the iPhone was inspired by Japan, from their intuitive user interfaces to their simple and practical designs? Jobs’s first point of contact with Japan was Zen. He deeply valued Japanese art and culture, and was particularly influenced by Shin-Hanga art, the meticulous craftsmanship of Japanese artisans, their unique approach to design thinking, and their philosophy of leading a mindful, stress-free life.
Through hands-on experiences in art, music, nature, and sports, students and parents will gain a holistic perspective on sustainability and its interconnectedness with various aspects of life. This tour deepens our appreciation for Japanese culture and its underlying values. Art, Music, and Sports serve as the thematic pillars, guiding parent-child pairs through a series of engaging activities. These include exploring STEAM concepts through Origami, enhancing empathy with adapted sports activities alongside players with disabilities, fostering teamwork through the traditional Onigokko game, and cultivating harmony through Chado experience, Taiko drumming, and Kintsugi workshop.
