MALAYSIA
Diversity in Harmony tour
DURATION
5 days
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Appreciate Malaysia's multicultural fabric and experience religious and cultural coexistence.
Explore Penang through all five senses with hands-on heritage experiences.
Strengthen teamwork through shared challenges, reflections, and creative workshops.
Foster a sense of global citizenship, appreciation for diversity, and cross-cultural friendships.
OVERVIEW
Step into the living storybook of Penang, where rainforests are older than dinosaurs, four religions greet each other down the same street, and every bite, sound, and scent tells a tale of migration, survival, and joy. For many, Penang feels like an echo of old Hong Kong: from the five-foot-way corridors and handwritten shop signs, to the rhythm of life that moves a little slower, more gently, and with deep pride in its multicultural roots.
This 5-day parent-child study tour is a hands-on journey of the five senses, family bonding, and discovering Malaysian values of gratitude and harmony. Each day, students will meet and interact with a different ethnic group to learn firsthand about their unique customs, daily life, and celebrations. Through UNESCO heritage hunts, traditional arts, and outdoor challenges, students will build memories and appreciation for culture, nature, and each other.
